Daniele Adani views Cristian Chivu as the perfect man to help Inter Milan recover from a heartbreaking 2024/25 season.

Speaking to Domenica Sportiva via FCInterNews, Adani also assessed new Nerazzurri strikers Ange-Yoan Bonny and Francesco Pio Esposito.

It’s been a dream start for Ange-Yoan Bonny.

After scoring on his Serie A debut for Inter, the Frenchman tallied a goal and three assists in his first league start for the club.

Indeed, the 21-year-old stole the show in a 4-1 thrashing of Cremonese last weekend.

On the other hand, Francesco Pio Esposito has only scored once this season.

However, the teenage striker has gone from strength to strength in his maiden top-flight campaign.

Meanwhile, Cristian Chivu continues to exceed expectations.

Despite trailing Napoli and Roma by three points, Inter are playing with confidence and fluidity.

Lautaro Martinez and his teammates are firing on all cylinders.

Therefore, the Nerazzurri are among the most enjoyable teams to watch in Serie A.

Adani believes Inter had better attacking options last season, at least on paper.

“On paper, at the start, Mehdi Taremi, Marko Arnautovic, and Joaquin Correa had superior credentials,” Adani admitted. “Taremi failed.

“However, when you introduce him, he brings higher credentials than a Bonny who arrived before Cristian Chivu and a Pio Esposito who they perhaps thought of loaning out after the Club World Cup.”

Then, the former Fiorentina defender praised Chivu’s project at San Siro.

“The Chivu project is taking off. The difference isn’t in the system but in having taken root in the team’s motivation.

“They have regained their confidence, their style of play, their passing, focus, and concentration.

“It has been like this in the last three games. But calmly – step by step – with a team well-coached by a young man who gains recognition day by day.
