Udinese forward Alexis Sanchez will make his first appearance of the season against Inter Milan in the Coppa Italia this evening.
This according to today’s print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews.
Veteran former Manchester United, Arsenal, and Barcelona forward Sanchez joined Udinese over the summer.
The Chilean made the switch on a free transfer. He did so after his contract with Inter had expired.
Sanchez had his second spell at the Nerazzurri last season.
The Chilean joined Inter on a one-season deal in the summer of 2023. He had previously spent three seasons at the Nerazzurri between 2019 and 2022.
It was only ever a short-term stay at Inter for Sanchez, though.
And in the summer, Sanchez decided to re-join Udinese, the club which had introduced him to Italian football.
So far, however, Sanchez has not yet made an appearance for the Friulani.
This has been due to a lack of fitness.
However, Sanchez is ready to make his long-awaited second debut for Udinese soon.
The 36-year-old is ready to play in this evening’s Coppa Italia round of sixteen clash with his old side Inter.
Sanchez certainly won’t see out ninety minutes on his return. But he should be able to feature.
