Former Orlando Pirates striker Letsie Koapeng has signed for newly promoted Betway Premiership club Durban City.
The 33-year-old forward was recently in the books of topflight rookies Orbit College and made three league appearances this season.
Koapeng scored a solitary goal for Orbit, netting in the club’s narrow 1-0 win over newly rebranded Siwelele FC.
However, the player was not in the matchday squad in the last two outings as Pogiso Makhoye’s side suffered defeats to Pirates and TS Galaxy, respectively.
Now, the former South Africa U20 international is set for a fresh chapter in KZN and is expected to add experience in Gavin Hunt’s dressing room and frontline.
Koapeng is a seasoned campaigner, having turned out for the now defunct teams, Bidvest Wits, Bloemfontein Celtic and Platinum Stars in the South African topflight.
Moreover, he featured for Moroka Swallows, Marumo Gallants, Richards Bay, Cape Town City, Stellenbosch FC, Jomo Cosmos and Chippa United in addition to Pirates, among others.
Meanwhile, City also announced the signing of Terrence Mashego from Mamelodi Sundowns on Tuesday, as they look to establish themselves in the elite league.
