Strasbourg striker Emmanuel Emegha has revealed he’s pleased to have agreed a deal to join Chelsea next summer.
Emegha will join Chelsea at the end of the season, and the 22-year-old has penned a seven year contract at Stamford Bridge.
The Dutchman will likely go straight into the first team squad and compete for minutes with Liam Delap and Joao Pedro.
Strasbourg president Marc Keller admitted is was a “major issue” selling Emegha to Chelsea, whilst the Blues have also signed Mamadou Sarr from the French side.
The Ligue 1 club are part of Chelsea’s multi-club model, and the Blues send three of their talented youngsters on loan to the French side each season, but they also get first refusal on the best players at Strasbourg.

Emegha recently made his Dutch debut, and certainly falls into the category, and he’s opened up on his initial move to Strasbourg from Sturm Graz and then Chelsea.
“To be honest, I didn’t even know where that was. I thought it was in Germany, but it turned out to be in France, well I think everyone knows Strasbourg now,” he told Algemeen Dagblad
“Strasbourg really had a plan for young players like me. Well, that’s worked out. I was the first player they started this process with, and next season I’m going to Chelsea.
“So, it went exactly as I’d hoped.”
The signing of Emegha all but brings to an end any hope of a return to Chelsea for Nicolas Jackson, who’s currently on loan at Bayern Munich.

The move will become permanent if Jackson makes a certain number of appearances, believed to be 40, but reports have suggested Bayern have no intention of activating it currently.
Jackson plans to stay at Bayern for the remainder of the season, and it appears Chelsea will have to find a permanent suitor in the summer.
