The Gunners and the Reds are among a number of Premier League clubs who’ve had scouts keeping an eye on Pec, who is showing himself to be an exciting young talent.

The 23-year-old has impressed in the MLS, and now has Arsenal, Liverpool, Newcastle, Crystal Palace, Fulham, Wolves, Atletico Madrid, Inter Milan and Napoli keeping tabs on his progress.

Pec is being eyed up as a future target for big names like Arsenal and Liverpool, so it’s not clear if they’ll necessarily be making any concrete moves for him that soon.

Still, it seems clear that the South American talent is one to watch, with clubs likely to be keen on securing his services if he can continue to impress their scouts with his form in the US.

Gabriel Pec transfer: Could he be a surprise solution for Arsenal and Liverpool?

Pec might one day be able to come in and give Arsenal something a bit different in attack, with Mikel Arteta arguably a little short of options in that area.

The north London giants often find themselves a little overly reliant on Bukayo Saka to work his magic up front, but Pec could provide an alternative or even an upgrade on inconsistent performers like Gabriel Martinelli, while loan signing Raheem Sterling is surely unlikely to stay at the Emirates Stadium beyond this season.

Liverpool could also do well to consider new attacking options as Mohamed Salah is nearing the end of his contract, while Diogo Jota has had some bad luck with injuries.

Even if the Reds would need a truly outstanding player to replace someone like Salah, Pec could one day have the potential to be a key player for a club of that calibre.
