The Rams will travel to The Hawthorns on Saturday with Championship action set to return from the international break, and with fresh faces set to be added to his squad, such as Ben Brereton Diaz and the soon-to-return Patrick Agyemang, John Eustace will be hoping for improved results in the next month.

Eustace’s side are still searching for their first victory of the new season, having drawn two and lost two from their opening four fixtures.

Meanwhile, the Baggies are currently second in the table and still undefeated going into this weekend’s home game against Derby.

Sky Sports pundit Goodman has warned Ryan Mason’s team of the threat that Morris and Brewster both possess going into Saturday’s 3pm kick-off at The Hawthorns.

He believes that physical duel between Morris and Nat Phillips could be one to keep an eye out for, while also suggesting that Brewster is looking sharp after his performance prior to the break against Ipswich Town.

“There’s an obvious answer in Carlton Morris,” Goodman exclusively told Football League World.

“The way he’s started the season, the way he plays the game, he’s a real physical handful, and that battle between him and Nat Phillips should be one to keep and eye on, a real physical duel.

“A shoutout also to Rhian Brewster, who looked sharp away at Ipswich, got off the mark and that will do his confidence the power of good.

“And if Derby County can get him anywhere near back to his best, then they’re going to have a player on their hands.”

West Brom have enjoyed a strong start to the new season under Mason, who has overseen three wins from his four games in charge.

But the Rams will be looking to inflict a first defeat of the new manager’s reign, with Eustace’s side aiming to secure their first victory of the new campaign.

Nat Phillips and Carlton Morris duel could be key this weekend between West Brom and Derby County

Former Derby loanee Phillips popped up with the crucial goal in West Brom’s last league game against Stoke, but it will be his duel against Morris that could be key this weekend.

The 29-year-old has already found the back of the net on four occasions this season, despite Derby’s underwhelming form, so keeping him quiet will be West Brom’s best route to a good result.

Brewster is also making a positive impact in Eustace’s side since his summer switch from Sheffield United, so Derby will pose a strong attacking threat at The Hawthorns.

If the Baggies are going to sustain a promotion push this year, then making it hard to come to the Midlands and get a result will be so important to keeping pace at the top of the table.
