Exclusive: Fiorentina face Everton competition for Lindelof, Pisa enquire about Albiol | OneFootball

Fiorentina have resumed talks for Hans Nicolussi Caviglia and made an offer for free agent Victor Lindelöf, while Pisa enquired about ex-Napoli defender Raul Albiol.

The summer transfer window is coming to a close in Europe, and Italian clubs are working to complete the final signings of the transfer campaign.

Sources with direct knowledge of the matter exclusively tell me that Fiorentina resumed talks with Venezia for Hans Nicolussi Caviglia on Tuesday morning.

The ex-Juventus midfielder is a long-time Fiorentina target, and it is believed that the Tuscans will have to pay a fee between €7m and €8m to secure the midfielder’s signature. Sassuolo also enquired about the 25-year-old in recent days, but then dropped him to welcome Nemanja Matic.

Fiorentina have also sent an offer for ex-Manchester United defender Lindelof, but the Tuscans must face competition from Everton and Brentford.

Elsewhere in Serie A, Fiorentina’s regional rivals Pisa have practically finalised Calvin Stengs’ transfer from Feyenoord and are focusing on central defenders.

The newly promoted Serie A side enquired about Raul Albiol, who will turn 40 in September and is available as a free agent after the end of his contract with Villarreal. Pisa have also targeted a younger defender, Carlos Romana, whose contract with Colombian side Atletico Bucaramanga expires at the end of the year.
