Stones is available on a free transfer after leaving Manchester City at the end of his contract on June 30. He spent 10 seasons playing under Pep Guardiola, and was part of the side that won six Premier League titles, three FA Cups, three EFL Cups and the 2022-23 Champions League during that period.

Various reports over the last few weeks have linked the former Manchester City and Everton centre-back with a move to Serie A: Juventus and Inter mentioned as strong possibilities.

Speaking in a recent video on his YouTube channel, transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has confirmed that Stones “has been offered to all of the biggest Italian teams: He’s on the market and has left City for nothing.

“He has big economic demands: He was offered to Inter last March, but that has not particularly heated up. He has been proposed to Inter and Juventus again in recent days.”

Romano went on to explain that all of the biggest Italian sides have slight concerns over Stones’s medical record: The Englishman’s most active season came during his first year with City in 2016-17 when he made 27 appearances in the Premier League, but has only averaged 14.6 league appearances over the last five seasons.
