Harry Kane scored a treble in the DFB Cup final against VfB Stuttgart to secure the double for FC Bayern virtually single-handedly. After the 3-0 win, the Englishman also spoke about his sporting future in Munich
The 32-year-old crowned an outstanding season with his hat-trick. Kane now has an incredible 61 goals and seven assists in 51 competitive matches – the best figures of his career to date
So it’s no wonder that FC Bayern want to keep the striker for the long term
Bayern CEO Jan-Christian Dreesen recently stated that the record champions would like to clarify Kane’s situation as soon as possible after the end of the season
According to several media outlets, Munich are aiming to extend his contract before the start of the 2026 World Cup
However, Kane himself did not want to give a concrete outlook after the cup final. „It’s not the right time to talk about it now, but there’s no need to panic,“ the Englishman explained in an interview with Sky
The goalscorer made it clear that both sides had deliberately postponed the talks. „We wanted to postpone the talks until the end of the season and we still have the World Cup to go,“ said Kane
At the same time, however, he once again emphasized his strong ties to FC Bayern. „Everyone knows how much I like it here. The situation is relaxed,“ said the Bayern star

According to information from kicker, however, there are still unresolved issues between the club and the player. While Kane apparently favors a new three-year contract, Bayern are said to be leaning towards an extension until 2028 with an option for a further year
There is also apparently still a need for financial discussions
Kane is said to still have enormous offers from Saudi Arabia in particular. According to reports, Saudi clubs could offer the Englishman up to €25 million net per season. By comparison, Kane currently earns this amount gross at FC Bayern
Nevertheless, there are currently many indications that the Englishman would like to continue his success story in Munich
After winning the league and cup, the next big decision could soon follow.
