Kerkez to Liverpool will break historic records

Not only is his potential enormous, but his current skillset is a major upgrade on the options that Liverpool have available right now and so the financial cost of signing him is irrelevant. We need him.

But the reported £45m fee will not be a drop in the ocean. Jeremie Frimpong's move broke the club's previous full-back transfer fee record by over double, which was Nathaniel Clyne for £12.5m.

Kerkez's fee - while unconfirmed - could almost quadruple Clyne's record, putting at least £15m on Frimpong's record which might only last for just over a week.
