Facundo Buonanotte ‘set to leave’ Brighton amid Schalke approach and Premier League, La Liga interest | OneFootball

Fabrizio Romano reports on X that Facundo Buonanotte is set to leave Brighton.

The 21-year-old Argentina-capped attacking midfielder joined Leeds United on loan from Brighton in January for the rest of the season, but featured for only 82 minutes across four appearances.

He came off the bench in January’s Premier League games against Everton and Arsenal. His only start followed in February’s FA Cup tie at Birmingham City, and he was taken off at half-time.

Buonanotte’s final Leeds outing was a 12-minute cameo in the season finale at West Ham, after which he returned to Brighton, where he is under contract until summer 2028.

The report said Schalke 04 have made a formal approach, with Premier League and La Liga clubs also keen, and that several sides are in talks to move things forward.
