Juventus’ priorities lie in defence and attack, and Fagioli’s sale would allow the Old Lady to register a substantial capital gain, given that the 23-year-old is a product of the club’s academy.

Gazzetta claims that Roberto De Zerbi’s Marseille have already opened informal talks, but Napoli and Premier League clubs are also interested.

According to the report, Fagioli is unwilling to leave, but Juventus are ready to sell him for €25m.

Napoli director Giovanni Manna, a former Juventus executive, is an admirer of Fagioli, but the Partenopei are also working to bring Cesare Casadei to the Maradona.

Gazzetta reported in November that Fagioli had been offered to Manchester United and City.

Juventus remain in talks with Betis for Arthur’s transfer as well. The Brazilian midfielder is not part of Thiago Motta’s plans and is not even part of Juventus’ Serie A list list season.
