Earlier today, Barcelona defender Andreas Christensen left the training session early and was subsequently left out of the squad list for the game against Club Brugge.
It raised concerns about a possible injury relapse for the Dane, who had already missed the last three games due to a combination of gastroenteritis and a calf issue.
However, according to a new update from Mundo Deportivo, it turned out to be a false alarm.
Despite Christensen leaving training early, the centre-back has not suffered a setback. Instead, the defender’s early exit from the session was part of a plan prearranged with manager Hansi Flick.
Indeed, those close to the player have stressed that he is not injured, and that his early withdrawal was intentional and scheduled as part of his workload management.
Christensen has now fully recovered from the physical issues that left him sidelined for the last three matches against Olympiacos, Real Madrid, and Elche.

However, Flick does not want to take any unnecessary risks with the Danish international, given his past record with injuries.
As such, the Barcelona manager has opted to keep him fresh for the La Liga fixture against Celta on Sunday at Balaidos, where the ex-Chelsea ace could return.
So far this season, Christensen has appeared in seven matches across La Liga and the UEFA Champions League, clocking a total of 338 minutes.
The 29-year-old defender’s contract with Barcelona expires at the end of the season, and he is keen on furthering his stay at the club.
However, despite Flick having great confidence in Christensen, Barça might not offer him an extension owing to concerns about his fitness and injury-prone nature.
