Farioli explains Pietuszewski change after Dragão scare

According to O Jogo, Francesco Farioli has addressed why he replaced Oskar Pietuszewski during the second half of FC Porto v Moreirense.

The Polish defender had sat down on the pitch, then departed escorted by the medical team, an incident that unsettled the Dragão.

The Italian coach said Pietuszewski had been ill for two or three days this week with a virus, which left him somewhat weakened.

He linked the substitution to that recent bout of illness.

Farioli clarified the situation after the game.
