Francesco Farioli’s decision to leave Ajax comes in the midst of intensifying rumors regarding his eligibility for Roma’s ananagerial vacancy.
In the aftermath of his departure from Amsterdam, Farioli spoke to Ziggo Sport about the recent links with Roma.
”There are a lot of speculations, a lot of rumours and you know how it works… I still want to go back to coaching,” said Farioli to the Dutch broadcaster.
”As happened with Ajax, I don’t care about the brand and the importance of the team,” he continued.
“What matters is the way you want to do things and last summer Ajax was what I wanted. It was the right step for my career and now we’ll see what’s next. We’ll see if and when this opportunity will come.”
”I’m a very demanding person. Before going to a team I lay out everything on the table. The word demanding is probably the best to describe me. I want to find a club that is willing to fight with me.”
