Monaco 2-2 Auxerre at Stade Louis II as the hosts fought back from two down to remain seventh, with Auxerre staying 16th in the relegation play-offs.

In the 11th minute Kévin Danois swept in from outside the box after a corner to give Auxerre the lead, before Lassine Sinayoko doubled it with a close-range finish (33.).

After the restart, Ansu Fati halved the deficit with a low strike from range (56.), set up by Maghnes Akliouche.

Moments later, a penalty was awarded after Donovan Leon fouled Folarin Balogun. Balogun converted from the spot to level things up (59.).

There was a lengthy stoppage for Leon's injury before he was replaced in goal by Theo de Percin later in the second half.

Les Rouge et Blanc controlled the ball with 68.6% possession and forced 11 corners, producing 15 attempts with six on target. Auxerre carried threat on the break, registering seven shots on target from 12 attempts and making 36 clearances.

The result leaves Les Rouge et Blanc seventh. Auxerre remain 16th in the relegation play-offs. Next, Les Rouge et Blanc visit Toulouse. Auxerre travel to Lyon.
