David Datro Fofana scored his first goal for Fatih Karagümrük on September 21, 2025, just days after joining on loan from Chelsea. The Ivorian striker opened his account during his Süper Lig debut.

Coming off the bench in the 68th minute against Samsunspor while his team was trailing 2-1, it took the Ivorian just fifteen minutes to find the back of the net. Datro Fofana netted his first goal of the season in the 81st minute, reigniting Fatih Karagümrük's hopes in this Matchday 6 Süper Lig clash.

Unfortunately, the Ivorian's effort wasn't enough to save his team from defeat. Fatih Karagümrük ultimately fell 3-2 to Samsunspor. David Datro Fofana joined Karagümrük on a season-long loan with a purchase option. The move was made official on September 13, just before the Turkish transfer window closed. The 22-year-old striker returned to the Süper Lig, a league he already knows from his spell with Göztepe in the first half of last season. That stint was cut short in February due to a knee injury.
