FC Porto began preparations on Monday for the clássico with Sporting with one positive and one setback. According to O Jogo, Nehuén Pérez trained as part of the group on a conditioned basis, while Zaidu sustained a right ankle sprain and moved onto the medical report.
The session came after Porto widened their I Liga lead on Sunday, beating Tondela 2-0 and benefiting from Benfica's 1-2 derby win at Alvalade.
The medical list also includes Martim Fernandes, on conditioned training, and Luuk de Jong and Samu, both on treatment and gym work.
Porto will train again on Tuesday morning at CTFD Jorge Costa.
Francesco Farioli will preview the Sporting tie from 12h45. The second leg of the Taça de Portugal semi-finals is at Estádio do Dragão on Wednesday at 20h45.
