FC Porto tie down 18-year-old left-back Yoan Pereira until 2031

FC Porto have extended 18-year-old left-back Yoan Pereira’s contract until 2031, the club announced.

The deal carries a progressive release clause that starts at €40 million and increases in line with his development.

Born in Luxembourg, Pereira is among five U17 European and world champions at the club. He has been on the books since 2022/23.

In the season just finished he made six II Liga appearances, the last three as a starter. For the U19s he played 17 times, scoring three and adding one assist as they won the national title.

He is the sixth academy prospect to renew recently, following Tiago Silva, André Miranda, João Teixeira, Bernardo Lima and Duarte Cunha. Bernardo Lima and Duarte Cunha are also European and world champions.
