According to Globo.com, Palmeiras trained on Thursday morning, a day after their 1-0 Conmebol Libertadores defeat to Cerro Porteño, beginning preparations to face Flamengo. Felipe Anderson took part with the squad and could feature this weekend.
He had missed the Paraguayan clash due to a left thigh injury. His involvement increases the chance of a return.
Piquerez, recovering from ankle surgery, worked with the ball but remained separate, joining academy players.
The starters from the Cerro game, along with Paulinho, who follows an individual programme, completed indoor recovery work at the Academia de Futebol.
Palmeiras have one more session on Friday. First meets second on Saturday at 21:00 Brasília time at the Maracanã.
Abel Ferreira’s side lead on 35 points, four clear of Flamengo. Any result in Rio keeps them top, though a defeat could allow Flamengo to go first if they later win their game in hand against Mirassol.
