Felix Horn Myhre has joked about the lure of warmer weather as West Brom consider a move for the SK Brann midfielder.

ExpressAndStar.com understands West Brom are targeting the 27-year-old to bolster head coach James Morrison’s midfield before the Championship season, with La Liga interest also reported.

Asked whether he preferred a move to Elche or to the Black Country, the Norway international said: “I honestly don’t know.” He added: “The temperature in Spain is tempting after a summer like this.”

Capped seven times by Norway, Myhre is regarded as one of the Eliteserien’s standout midfielders and mainly operates as a number eight.

Reports in Norway suggest a bidding battle could develop for his signature, and he has around 18 months left on a deal running to December 2027.

Bodo/Glimt and Brondby have also been linked. Brann were the former club of West Brom striker Aune Heggebo, who joined for £4.7 million last summer, while Myhre narrowly missed out on Norway’s World Cup squad, which included former Baggies defender Torbjorn Heggem.
