Foot Mercato reports that Fenerbahce have agreed a €42m package with Marseille for Mason Greenwood, with the ex-Man Utd forward set to sign a four-year deal in Türkiye.

The deal is understood to comprise €40m guaranteed plus €2m in performance-related add-ons. Marseille accepted higher financial proposals from Atletico Madrid and Saudi Pro League side Al-Ahli, but Greenwood preferred the Turkish top flight.

OM’s cost-cutting drive has prompted a sale despite Greenwood being under contract until June 2029. The fee would set a new club-record departure, surpassing Michy Batshuayi’s €39m move to Chelsea in 2016.

Greenwood departs France with 48 goals and 17 assists in 81 competitive appearances across two seasons. Fenerbahce are prepared to pay around €10m per year in salary.

Head coach Ismail Kartal is driving a major overhaul and Greenwood is expected to slot in alongside fellow arrivals Nathan Ake and Vedat Muriqi. The forward faces instant pressure to help challenge Galatasaray, champions in the last four seasons.
