Fenerbahçe have banked €19,475,000 in UEFA prize money after clinching a Europa League knockout play-off berth. According to Turkish-Football.com, the haul spans Champions League qualifying and the Europa League’s new league phase. Jose Mourinho’s side remain alive in Europe.
The earnings began in summer Champions League qualifiers, where a third-round win over Feyenoord delivered €175,000. Defeat to Benfica in the play-off round brought a €4.29 million solidarity payment.
In the Europa League league phase, all 36 clubs received €4.31 million as a participation fee. Fenerbahçe’s three wins and three draws from eight matches yielded €1.8 million in results bonuses. Their 19th-place finish was worth a further €1.45 million.
UEFA’s value pillar distribution is estimated to add €4.99 million to the club’s pot, with historical coefficient money contributing another €2.16 million.
Progress to the knockout play-off round adds €300,000 immediately. If they win the two-legged tie to reach the Round of 16, a further €1.75 million would follow. The windfall offers useful financial breathing space as they pursue the domestic title and European progress.
