Fernandez-Pardo in focus: Bayern challenge BVB | OneFootball

FC Bayern Munich are currently in the midst of transfer planning for the summer. A number of names are being linked with the record champions, including a player who is also on BVB’s list

FC Bayern: Transfer duel with BVB?

Bayern now have one alternative in their sights: Matias Fernandez-Pardo. The attacking player is currently still tied to OSC Lille, but Fussballtransfers reports that the record champions are interested in the player. BVB are also considered a candidate and have had him on their list for some time

The Belgian, who has also been nominated for the World Cup in North America, made 41 appearances for Lille last season, scoring eight goals and providing seven assists. Liverpool are also said to be monitoring the player, while other Premier League clubs have also set their sights on the Belgian striker

However, as with so many players who are in demand this summer, a high transfer fee will be required to sign him. The French Premier League club estimates the value of the top talent at 70 million euros. BVB are therefore already out of the running

And it is unlikely that FC Bayern will pay a sum even in the region of these 70 million euros. If they did, they would be much more likely to push for alternative solutions. The record champions will therefore only continue to pursue this if the price drops significantly, as Fernandez-Pardo brings a lot to the table, but is not yet an absolute top player.
