Who is playing today? 👀

Germany will compete in their first FIFA World Cup™ knockout match since 2014, when they went on to win the competition.

Julian Nagelsmann's side made a flying start in Group E after thrashing Curaçao in their opening game before qualifying early with a 2-1 triumph against Côte d'Ivoire. The four-time World Cup™ champions still managed to top their group, despite a shock 2-1 loss to Ecuador, where Leroy Sané opened the scoring before Ecuador hit back to defeat Die Nationalelf.

Paraguay progressed to the knockout stages at the FIFA World Cup™ for just the fourth time in their history following a third-place finish in Group D. La Albirroja recovered after losing their opening match 4-1 against co-hosts the USA and beat Türkiye 1-0 before a goalless draw with Australia secured passage to the last 32.

Paraguay have kept back-to-back clean sheets in their last two World Cup™ games and Germany will look towards high-profile playmaker Florian Wirtz to unlock the South Americans' defence on Monday. Wirtz assisted Sané's second-minute goal against Ecuador last time out, and the Liverpool midfielder earned a Creativity Score of 7.51 in the FIFA Power Rankings - powered by Aramco.

From the bench, Deniz Undav's contributions could be key for Germany. The VfB Stuttgart forward has made a big impact at the FIFA World Cup 26™ with three goals and two assists in three substitute appearances.

Matías Galarza and Maurício have scored Paraguay's only two goals at the FIFA World Cup™ so far. However, Julio Enciso provided the biggest attacking threat in the 0-0 draw against Australia on Friday as the attacker had two attempts at goal, made 12 ball progressions and gained an Attacking Score of 5.74.
