Fiorentina are currently leading the race to sign Italy U21 star Cher Ndour on a permanent transfer from Paris Saint-Germain, which could have a knock-on effect for Juventus and their hopes of formally announcing the signing of Randal Kolo Muani.

According to reports from Fabrizio Romano, Fiorentina have submitted a formal proposal to PSG to sign Ndour in January. There is also interest from Vincenzo Italiano’s Bologna.

La Viola are on the lookout for another midfielder as Edoardo Bove is not currently allowed to play in Italy due to the consequences of his on-pitch collapse earlier in the season.

The Azzurrini star has been out on loan at Besiktas for the first part of the 2024-25 season, where he has scored once and provided two assists from his first 12 Turkish Super Lig matches.

He has also featured in six Europa League matches this term, but was left on the bench for Wednesday night’s game between Besiktas and Athletic Club.

Why Juventus are watching Ndour developments

Juventus will also be keeping a keen eye on the situation, as they are still waiting to announce the signing of Randal Kolo Muani from PSG.

PSG are currently at the limit for the number of players they are allowed to have out on loan at foreign clubs (six), which means that they will have to either sell or recall one of their first team players currently out on loan in a foreign league.

Ndour is among the most likely of those PSG players to be moved on in January, which could clear the path for Juventus to officially announce their loan deal for Kolo Muani.

PSG may need to make further arrangements, however, as Milan Skriniar is set to join Fenerbahce on loan for the remainder of the 2024-25 season, which would take up another loan slot.
