Fiorentina look towards free agents for a back-up to Moise Kean | OneFootball

After the signing of Edin Dzeko, Fiorentina are reportedly on the market for another striker. However, this time they are looking at a cheaper option and hence the free agent market is one that has their attention. As per TMW, the main two players they are considering are Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Luuk de Jong.

Calvert-Lewin, now 28, was with Everton for nearly a decade before becoming a free agent this summer. At an age where he’s supposed to hit his prime, he seems to have fallen off a little, due to persistent injuries. However, if Fiorentina can keep him fit, they will have a player close in quality to Moise Kean. It is to be noted that Manchester United have also shown interest in signing him.

At 34, a move now would perhaps be the final one of Luuk de Jong’s career. But he’s still in great form, having scored 14 while leading PSV to a league title last season. He also has precedent for goals off the bench, having attained cult-hero status at Barcelona for the same.
