Radu Dragusin returned to the pitch 11 months after rupturing his ACL. His stay at Tottenham might be short-lived, though, as several Serie A teams, in particular Fiorentina, Napoli, and Roma, are testing the waters to bring him back to Serie A, Tuttomercatoweb informs.
His agent, Florin Manea, recently spoke to Digi Sport.
“His club doesn’t want to sell him, but I’ll handle it. I’ll speak to him. We’ll see what the decision will be. Fabio Paratici is about to join Fiorentina. It’s just chatter for now; nobody called me directly. We could get some offers. Smaller English teams could pursue him, but returning to Italy would be the best option because he’d move to a big club.” “I’ve not spoken with Christian Chivu at this stage. I know they’ll search for a defender next summer. If we manage to make Dragusin play more in the second half of the season, maybe they’ll inquire. He has four and a half years left on his contract with Tottenham. He’s been out for 11 months, and we can’t wait for 17 more. He’s 100 percent determined to be a regular. We have to mull over what to do in January.”
According to Corriere dello Sport, Roma have earmarked the Romanian defender, but they want to fortify their attack first. As for Axel Disasi, Chelsea have used up their slots for international loan. They’d have to free up one, or he’ll only leave permanently for about €20M.
Per Fabrizio Romano (via Calciomercato Magazine), Fiorentina could make an attempt for Dragusin after hiring Paratici, but their precarious position in the standings doesn’t help their case. Tottenham acquired the 23-year-old from Genoa for €25M in 2024.
