Vinicius Jr. opened the scoring for Real Madrid on the night, before teenage sensation Franco Mastantuono scored his first-ever goal for the team, assisted by the Brazilian international.

For all the criticism that has come his way of late and question marks over his place under the new management, Vinicius has been involved in eight goals in 13 games for Alonso’s Real Madrid in all competitions (four goals and four assists), a tally surpassed only by Kylian Mbappe (11, ten goals and one assist in 10 appearances).

Meanwhile, Mastantuono, at the age of 18 years and 40 days, became the second youngest player to score for Real Madrid in La Liga in the 21st century, after Endrick against Real Valladolid in August 2024.

Alvaro Carreras has been nothing short of a revelation for Real Madrid since arriving from SL Benfica in the summer. One of the few players to have started each game this season, the 22-year-old left-back enjoyed another brilliant outing vs Levante.

In fact, Carreras won possession 16 times on Tuesday, the most of any Real Madrid player in a single match this season in all competitions and the most of any Real Madrid defender in a single game since Sergio Ramos against Sevilla in January 2019 (16).

Real Madrid’s sixth win in the league also meant that manager Xabi Alonso also unlocked a special achievement.

Indeed, following Tuesday’s result, Alonso become the second Real Madrid manager to win each of his first six matches in the competition’s history, following Vanderlei Luxemburgo in 2005, who won his first seven.

It also meant that Real Madrid have started a La Liga season with six wins in their first six matches for the sixth time in the competition’s history (1958/59, 1961/62, 1968/69, 1987/88, 2022/23 and 2025/26).
