Kick-off is set for 13:30 (UK) in what’s become one of the most hotly-anticipated fixtures in the WSL calendar.

Below are five reasons why you should grab your ticket if you haven’t already!

1 - LEAGUE FORM

Two of the WSL’s most in-form sides will go to battle at the Etihad Stadium next Saturday.

City currently sit second in the table, just one point behind league leaders Chelsea on the back of six successive WSL wins.

Dramatic late victories over Arsenal and Liverpool are included within that run, which is the current longest winning streak in the league.

However, the visitors arrive in equally impressive form and are yet to taste defeat in the WSL this season.

Something has to give…

2 - Men’s International Break

The fixture comes during the Men’s international break, meaning Saturday’s WSL showdown is the only place to get your City fix next weekend!

Tickets are available from just £15, with fans at this game also able to enjoy alcohol responsibly in the stands, an initiative also being trialled at our Joie Stadium fixtures this season.

Please note, fans located in blocks 034-039 are seated in our Alcohol Free Zone, and as such, cannot bring alcohol to their seats.

3 - Off-pitch entertainment

If the excitement on the pitch wasn’t enough, there’s so much on offer outside of the game to make the most of at the Etihad Stadium.

You can start your day at our free-to-enter Man City Kids Fanzone from 09:30, with a special ‘Endless Asia’ food and culture experience, presented by Etihad Airways, available over by East Reception one hour later.

Our Blue Carpet Experience then allows you to welcome the players to the match, with incredible prizes also on offer including the chance to be a mascot and walk out with the team onto the pitch.

A full breakdown of what’s on offer can be found here.

4 - Familiar faces

There are plenty of crossovers between City and United, but the most recent saw Jess Park and Grace Clinton move in separate directions on WSL transfer deadline day.

Both players are remembered fondly for what they achieved at their former clubs, but they’ll be keen to make a mark on proceedings with their current employers next Saturday.

Park and Clinton are also no strangers to finding the net in the Manchester derby, so could be key protagonists at the Etihad once again.

5 - Goals, goals, goals

With a combined total of 37 goals in the first seven matchweeks of the season, it’s safe to say City and United know how to find the back of the net this season.

The Manchester derby pits the two best attacking records in the league so far against each other, so expect plenty of thrills and spills at the Etihad Stadium.

Some derbies can become cagey, low-scoring affairs but, last season, our four encounters yielded 15 goals, including six at the Etihad.
