Flamengo are South America’s leading club for 2026 World Cup call-ups, ranking 18th worldwide with nine players selected. According to Globo.com, they sit above Benfica, Chelsea, Internazionale and Juventus.

Alex Sandro, Danilo, Paquetá and Léo Pereira are in Brazil’s squad. Arrascaeta, Varela and De la Cruz are with Uruguay, Carrascal with Colombia and Plata with Ecuador.

Manchester City lead all clubs with 19. Across the tournament, 1,248 call-ups come from 454 different clubs.

Ahead of Flamengo in the ranking are Bayern Munich with 18, Arsenal and Paris Saint-Germain on 16, Barcelona on 15, then Al-Hilal, Atlético Madrid, Crystal Palace and Manchester United on 12. Borussia Dortmund, Galatasaray and Liverpool have 11.

Uruguay playmaker Arrascaeta could yet be withdrawn after a calf injury, with a decision on his World Cup participation pending.
