Flamengo fans sell out Benfica friendly in Portugal during World Cup

Flamengo fans have sold out tickets for a friendly against Benfica in Portugal during the World Cup, according to Coluna Do Fla.

The squad travels on Monday to Portugal for a mid-season camp. The match will be staged at Estádio Algarve, which holds 22,000.

Flamengo face Benfica on Saturday 11 July, the final friendly of the camp. Kick-off is 19:30 local time, 15:30 in Brasília.

Leonardo Jardim's side also face River Plate (ARG) on 3 July and Lausanne-Sport (SUI) on 8 July. Tickets for those games are on sale via the site blueticket.

Flamengo have six confirmed absences for the camp, with Léo Pereira, Alex Sandro, Lucas Paquetá, Danilo, Plata and Carrascal on World Cup duty.

Arrascaeta, Varela and De La Cruz have uncertain return dates. With Uruguay out of the tournament, the trio will receive 10 days off.

After the World Cup, Flamengo's first competitive match is on 22 July away to Chapecoense at Arena Condá, in the 19th round of the Brasileirão.
