According to Globo.com, Flamengo academy goalkeeper Léo Nannetti has been called up to train with Brazil during the World Cup. The squad assemble on 27 May to begin preparations, with a friendly against Panama on 31 May.
The 18-year-old had already been invited by Brazil coach Carlo Ancelotti to join sessions in the March FIFA window. He also trained with the national team at Granja Comary last September.
Nannetti will work alongside fellow goalkeepers Alisson, of Liverpool, Ederson, of Fenerbahçe, and Weverton, of Grêmio. He will again link up with goalkeeping coach Taffarel.
The youngster made his Flamengo first-team debut this year, starting the opening three Carioca matches, which were played by the under-20 side. He trained regularly with the seniors in 2025.
This season he has 17 appearances for the under-20s and more than 300 games across Flamengo’s youth ranks. He has also been called up by Brazil at junior levels. In 2025 he won the under-20 world title with Flamengo, saving two penalties in a shootout against Barcelona to secure the club’s second intercontinental crown.
