Flamengo have four first-team players whose deals expire in December and who can sign pre-contracts with other clubs from Wednesday. Situations range from advanced to open.

According to Globo.com, Alex Sandro has agreed a new contract to the end of 2027, with an announcement after his World Cup return. Brazilian football's physical demands almost changed his plans, but Flamengo's offer appealed.

Danilo, a starter for Brazil, remains undecided. There have been no formal talks, and the club would offer a renewal if he keeps playing after the World Cup. He has not ruled out retiring this year, long targeted 35 on 15 July, and has fielded European interest.

Everton Cebolinha is in a mid-season camp in Portugal, and Flamengo do not intend to open renewal talks. He is considered important, yet a strong bid this window could see him leave to protect part of the 2022 outlay of 16 million euros, R$ 87 million.

Goalkeeper Dyogo Alves also has a deal to December, with no sign of talks. Third choice behind Rossi and Andrew, he is seen as having room to grow despite his age. He survived the 2019 Ninho do Urubu fire that killed 10 youths and is the only survivor still at Flamengo.

In this window the club aim to find market opportunities and lower-cost signings, taking a cautious approach. They know sales are needed, but will prioritise exits of non-essential players. A much higher than expected offer could change plans.
