Flamengo’s Monday agenda was dominated by fallout from the Corinthians match, an injury update on Alex Sandro, and Brazil squad news for Léo Pereira and Danilo.
According to Coluna Do Fla, the 1-1 draw in the eighth round on Sunday 22 was overshadowed by Evertton Araújo’s controversial dismissal. The CBF later released the VAR audio, which revealed the video team advised a yellow card, but referee Rodrigo José Pereira de Lima still produced a red.
Alex Sandro was withdrawn at half-time by Leonardo Jardim. After the match, Flamengo issued a medical bulletin confirming a muscle injury to the back of his right thigh. The full-back has been cut from the Brazil squad.
Because he was suspended for the Corinthians fixture, Léo Pereira reported to the Brazil national team on Sunday 22. Danilo, who featured for Flamengo, is due to link up with the group on Monday 23.
Attention turns to the disciplinary discussion and the club’s medical bulletin, alongside national-team logistics.
