The Brasileirão is the third most valuable league this window, with Flamengo largely driving that rise after bringing Lucas Paquetá back in a record deal.

According to Transfermarkt, Brazilian clubs spent 201.5 million euros in January. The Premier League led with 453 million euros.

Alongside fees for Vitão and Andrew, Flamengo is paying R$ 260 million to West Ham for Paquetá, the costliest transfer in Brazilian football history.

Only Europe’s window has closed. Brazil’s transfer period runs until 3 March.

After frustration in moves for Kaio Jorge and Taty Castellanos, Flamengo continue to seek a striker to compete with Pedro. José Boto has said he does not plan to sign just anyone.
