According to Coluna Do Fla, Flamengo will have four players with Brazil at the World Cup in June, meaning the club will collect significant FIFA compensation. Léo Pereira, Danilo, Alex Sandro and Lucas Paquetá are named.
FIFA pays around 11,000 dollars per player per day, totalling 44,000 dollars, R$220,000, daily for the quartet on Carlo Ancelotti's list.
Even if Brazil exit in the group stage, Flamengo are guaranteed around 250,000 dollars, R$1,200,000, per released player.
The club could receive more from further call-ups. Jorge Carrascal and Gonzalo Plata, for Colombia and Ecuador respectively, are certain selections. Matías Viña, Varela and Arrascaeta are expected to be called by Uruguay.
For now, Flamengo focus on their next assignment. They face Estudiantes (ARG) on Wednesday (20) at 21:30, Brasília time, in the Libertadores.
