Sunderland’s first campaign back in the Premier League has showcased Florent Ghisolfi’s recruitment, with 17 signings assessed. The verdict features two perfect 10s and one rated three.
According to Sunderland Echo, Ghisolfi led the last two windows and now shapes the summer. His business blended experience with youth, aligned to Le Bris’s approach and Premier League demands.
Granit Xhaka earned 10 out of 10, his leadership and control described as transformative. Goalkeeper Robin Roefs also scored 10. Brian Brobbey hit a nine out of 10, the £17 million outlay looking shrewd.
Noah Sadiki excelled before AFCON after a fee of about £15 million. Reinildo impressed when fit aside from a red card at Aston Villa, and Nordi Mukiele and Omar Alderete were standout defenders. Habib Diarra’s progress has been checked by a groin injury and AFCON.
Simon Adingra struggled to fit the demands before a loan to AS Monaco. Arthur Masuaku’s free transfer brought little impact and was marked at three out of 10.
Bertrand Traoré started well before AFCON and injury, and Marc Guiu was recalled by Chelsea after brief cameos. A decision looms on Lutsharel Geertruida’s option to buy, while Jocelin Ta Bi is too early to judge.
From here Ghisolfi must add youth without losing defensive solidity. With his own recruitment structure now in place, any shift in summer markets will be worth watching.
