Milan Aleksić is closing in on a loan move to Partizan Belgrade from Sunderland, with Florent Ghisolfi set to sanction the exit. Mozzart Sport reports that the 20-year-old has arrived in Belgrade for medical checks and that the deal includes a €1.2m, roughly £1.03m, purchase option payable in three instalments.
Partizan are expected to take him on loan for the 2026-27 campaign, giving Sunderland a potential route to a permanent sale if he impresses.
Aleksić joined Sunderland from Radnički 1923 in August 2024 on a four-year contract for a fee reported at around £3.1m. He arrived as a highly rated attacking midfielder but has struggled for regular minutes.
He made his debut as a substitute in the 1-1 draw with Millwall in November 2024, then scored in the FA Cup defeat to Stoke City in January 2025 minutes after replacing Chris Rigg.
He spent part of 2025-26 on loan at Cracovia, making eight appearances before returning in January. Across his Sunderland career he has 10 senior outings and one goal, including eight league games, plus one each in the FA Cup and League Cup. He has yet to score in league football.
The move forms part of wider squad shaping under Ghisolfi as Sunderland prepare for another Premier League campaign and a return to European football. With Régis Le Bris focused on those likely to feature regularly, a Partizan loan with a seven-figure option could provide clarity for all parties.
