Morgan Gibbs-White has been a revelation once again for Nottingham Forest across the 2025-26 Premier League season, with his latest strike coming with added pomp and circumstance.

Recovered from a nasty wound and looking primed for a place in Thomas Tuchel's England side at the World Cup this summer, the 26-year-old netted his 14th goal of the league campaign to pull Forest within a single goal against Manchester United at their hallowed ground.
Though he was unable to inspire a late comeback on a day that saw Bruno Fernandes equal the Premier League assist record, Gibbs-White did clock in as the man to score the 1,000th goal of the league season.
Impressively, it is now the 11th successive season in which that overall goal tally has been equalled, or bettered, as goals continue to be the primary currency across the top flight of English football.
Though it's not a personal milestone to take home, perhaps it was fitting for one of the league's best attackers to be the one to do it this afternoon.
