South Africa international Luther Singh found the back of the net as AEL Limassol suffered a 2-1 defeat to Apollon Limassol in the Limassol derby over the weekend.

The Stars of Africa product broke the deadlock in the 15th minute, before Pedro Marques equalised six minutes after the hour mark, while Bruno Gaspar completed the turn around in the 69th minute.

AEL sit seventh with 33 points amassed from 25 league outings, ahead of their clash against Omonia Aradippou on Saturday, 14 March.

Meanwhile, Singh has chipped in with seven goals and five assists in 26 matches across all competitions this season.

On the other hand, Thapelo Maseko was introduced in the 71st minute, but his impact wasn't enough to prevent AEL from a loss.

The 22-year-old explosive winger signed for the Cypriot side on a short-term loan deal from Betway Premiership champions Mamelodi Sundowns in January.
