Former SCO Angers manager Alexandre Dujeux is the leading candidate to replace Olivier Pantaloni at FC Lorient, as per a report from RMC Sport.
Dujeux’s exit from Angers was confirmed earlier this week. The Frenchman enjoyed a successful stint with Le SCO, guiding them back to Ligue 1 in his first full season before then keeping them in the top flight in back-to-back seasons, despite a limited budget.
It is Dujeux who instigated the exit, Angers confirmed. He is now the leading contender to take over at Lorient. Their top target was Will Still, but the Anglo-Belgian manager is now set to replace Christophe Pélissier at AJ Auxerre.
Les Merlus’ attention has, therefore, turned to Dujeux, who is also a contender for the job at OGC Nice. Lorient are in the market for a replacement following Olivier Pantaloni’s surprise exit at the end of the Ligue 1 campaign.
