Matheus Matias, formerly of Corinthians, has been confirmed as a new signing for Lions Natal FC, a Natal-based fut7 side. According to Meu Timao, the 27-year-old returns to the format in which he first stood out nationally in 2017.

He joined Corinthians in 2018 but did not establish himself, making only two senior appearances that year. In 2021 he featured for the under-23s, scoring two goals in 13 games, and also had loans at Ceará, Avaí, Oeste, São Bernardo, Paraná and Ponte Preta.

He found the net against Grêmio in a post-2018 World Cup friendly, yet first-team opportunities remained scarce and he departed the club in 2022 after a series of loans.

In 2024 he played Série D for Potiguar de Mossoró after overcoming a heart problem that had halted a proposed move to Santa Cruz of Recife. He then turned out for Fluminense-PI and Maranhão in 2025.

His most recent spell in professional football came with Bravos do Maquis in Angola’s top flight, where from September 2025 to May 2026 he made five appearances and scored one goal.
