The Gunners are six points clear at the top of the table after collecting 25 points from 10 matches.

Manchester City and Liverpool returned to winning ways in the Premier League last weekend, but both teams have been inconsistent this season.

Ronaldo appeared on the Piers Morgan Uncensored Podcast and shared his views on the title race.

When asked if Arsenal could win the league, he said: “Could be. It’s possible.

“I think the Premier League, the level of the teams is very similar – the top ones. But you know the Premier League, you never know what’s going to happen.

“It’s a very difficult league, very tough league, but Manchester (City) are not going to win the league, that’s for sure.

“They are so many points behind right now. It’s possible, but I don’t believe it [that Man City can win the league]. Arsenal, it can be. It’s possible, let’s see.”

Arsenal were in action on Tuesday as they defeated Slavia Prague 3-0 in the Champions League at the Fortuna Arena.

In the absence of the injured Viktor Gyokeres, Mikel Merino stepped up to lead the attack and scored two goals to help his side secure a comfortable victory.

The Gunners have extended their winning run to 10 matches in all competitions, keeping an eighth consecutive clean sheet.

They visit Sunderland this weekend. The Black Cats have exceeded expectations this season after earning promotion from the Championship.

They are currently fourth in the table with 18 points.
