Former Real Madrid midfielder Nico Paz, who is currently making a name for himself in Italian Serie A with Como, has expressed that he is not overly concerned about his future at the moment.

However, his ultimate dream remains to succeed at Real Madrid. The young Argentine has been focusing on his development in Italy, where he has been gaining valuable experience in a competitive league.

“I’m not planning my future now, I’m focused on Como but who knows, my dream one day would be to return and play for Real Madrid,” said the youngster as quoted by Fabrizio Romano.

Real Madrid are keeping a tab

Despite selling Nico to Como last summer, Real Madrid havr kept a close eye on his progress.

The club made the strategic decision to retain certain rights over the player for a standard three-year period, which is a common practice when dealing with promising youth talents.

This move clearly reflects their belief in his potential and their interest in keeping future options open.

Although Como have shown a strong commitment to nurturing Nico’s growth as an attacking midfielder, Real Madrid’s continued involvement indicates that they are not ready to completely sever ties with the player.

Then there’s Arsenal

Adding to the intrigue surrounding Nico’s future, Premier League club Arsenal have reportedly shown interest in acquiring the midfielder. Although the London-based club has not yet made a formal offer, their interest is evident.

Manager Mikel Arteta is believed to view Nico as a valuable addition to Arsenal’s attacking options, given his creative abilities and attacking mindset.

The competition for his services is likely to intensify in the coming months. Real Madrid retains the option to bring him back to Spain, and their buyback clause gives them a significant advantage should they decide to exercise it.

As the season unfolds, it will become clearer whether Nico continues his journey with Como, makes a move to the Premier League, or eventually returns to his boyhood club, Real Madrid.
