Four members of the City squad have been called up by England ahead of the Lionesses' first 2027 World Cup qualifiers.
Laura Blindkilde Brown, Grace Clinton, Alex Greenwood and Lauren Hemp have all been selected by Sarina Wiegman for England’s two opening Group 3 fixtures.
The Lionesses’ campaign begins when they travel to Turkey on Tuesday 3 March to take on Ukraine at 17:00 (UK).
They then welcome Iceland to Nottingham Forest’s City Ground on Saturday 7 March, with kick-off set for 12:30 (UK).
England come into the latest World Cup campaign having reached the 2023 final, losing out to Spain in Australia.
The Lionesses did gain revenge, however, by beating La Roja in the 2025 European Championships final to retain their crown from three years prior.
Spain are the fourth and final member of Group 3 alongside England, Ukraine and Iceland, with only the top team qualifying automatically for next summer’s tournament, which is being held in Brazil.
As always, we’ll have City-focused match reports available for every England fixture, so keep across mancity.com and the official Man City app to find out how our stars have fared.
Make sure you’ve got your tickets secured for a potentially historic end to 2025/26!
City are in pole position in the race for the WSL crown, with just two home matches left of the season as we push for a first league title since 2016.
We welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the Joie Stadium on Sunday 22 March*, before hosting Liverpool on Sunday 3 May* in our penultimate match of the campaign.
Before then, though, we take on Sheffield United in the FA Cup fifth round, with kick-off set for 14:00 (UK) on Sunday 22 February.
The Blues could be on the cusp of history, so play your part by helping the girls over the line.
