Nottingham Forest have confirmed four senior players will leave the City Ground.

The quartet are goalkeepers Stefan Ortega and Angus Gunn, defender Willy Boly and on-loan striker Lorenzo Lucca. The club said in a statement that their contracts expire at the end of June, with Lucca to return to Napoli after his loan.

Boly joined from Wolverhampton Wanderers in 2022 and signed an extension last summer. He made two appearances in 2025/26, and was left out of the Premier League and Europa League squads for the second half of the season due to injury.

Gunn arrived as a free agent in August 2025 and featured once, coming on at half-time in a 1-1 draw with Crystal Palace in February. He has been handed Scotland’s number one shirt for the World Cup.

Ortega signed a short-term deal from Manchester City in February and became Vitor Pereira’s first choice in the Europa League as Forest reached the semi-finals. He played every minute in seven of the eight knockout ties and also made three Premier League appearances, taking his total into double figures.

Lucca joined during the winter window and struggled to make an impact. Forest opted against activating a purchase option to sign the Napoli forward permanently, and thanked all four players for their contributions and wished them well.
