Alaba, having recovered from an ACL injury only a few months ago, had to undergo knee surgery again due to a meniscus tear. While there was hope that he could return in time for the competition, it appears that the Austrian will not make it.

Mendy, on the other hand, is has been out for over a month due to a thigh injury and is unlikely to return for almost two more months, ruling him out of the trip to the USA.

Meanwhile, Camavinga has been out of action since late April due to an adductor tear with his recovery expected to last for multiple months. As such, he will not play any part in the Club World Cup and hope to return in time for the start of the new season.

Endrick suffered an injury late in the season, in the game against Sevilla and will be out for a period of two months, leaving him with no chance of playing at the Club World Cup.
