The first Double Gameweek of 2025/26 lands, with Arsenal central to captaincy calls as Carrick’s Manchester United stay in form.
Hounslow Herald reports that the DGW26 deadline is 18:00 GMT on 10 February, with Arsenal and Wolves playing twice. Arsenal visit Brentford on Thursday then Wolves on Sunday.
Arsenal’s defence has the most clean sheets, so a defensive triple-up is viable. Gabriel (£7.1m) is the most-captained this week, averaging 7.9 points per away start.
With Bukayo Saka and Martin Ødegaard sidelined or doubtful, Declan Rice (£7.5m) has taken set-pieces and leads midfielders for chance creation.
This looks the prime window for Triple Captain. Arsenal’s defence are historically dominant and Gabriel is the top-scoring defender, near certain to play 180 minutes.
For a bolder standard captain, Rice leads Arsenal for chances created, 16 in the last six, and is projected at 11.2 points, the highest in GW26. Erling Haaland (£14.9m) is the single fixture alternative against Fulham.
The Carrick effect remains notable despite United’s single match at West Ham. Bruno Fernandes (£9.8m) has produced three double-digit hauls in his last four. Carrick’s system has also pushed Bryan Mbeumo (£8.6m) centrally, and West Ham have allowed the most headed attempts this month.
Differentials include Ismaïla Sarr (Crystal Palace, £6.3m), who meets Burnley on Wednesday and has scored in back-to-back games, 2.7% owned. Budget Mateus Mane (Wolves, £4.6m) is the only doubler at his price and leads their shots on target since GW18. Joao Pedro (Chelsea, £7.6m) hosts Leeds after three goals in four under Liam Rosenior.
