Brentford have now won three and drawn one of their last four home fixtures in the Premier League.
Gameweek 29’s 0-0 draw with Bournemouth saw Brentford successfully keep out an increasingly menacing Marcus Tavernier (£5.3m), meaning that each of the back four and Caoimhín Kelleher (£4.7m) - back from paternity leave – ended on six points.
Up front, there were no Igor Thiago (£7.2m) shots, though he had to face this season’s meanest home defence when it comes to preventing big chances (15). Only Arsenal have conceded fewer shots at their stadium than the Cherries.
Dango Ouattara (£6.0m) had the most chances for Brentford in Gameweek 29. The midfielder had two attempts on goal. Mathias Jensen (£4.9m), Kevin Schade (£6.9m) and Sepp van den Berg (£4.5m) also had attempts on goal for the Bees in the midweek round. One of Ouattara's attempts came in the second half, thanks to a Schade header.
Meanwhile, midfielder Jensen set up two big chances: one being a corner that Schade missed, and the other a free-kick that van den Berg headed on target.

The 30-year-old has ten league starts in a row, shooting 16 times in that period, and assisting twice in Gameweek 25’s win at Newcastle United.
Throughout this spell, only Manchester United’s Bruno Fernandes (£10.0m) has created more big chances than Jensen’s eight. His 53 crosses rank highly, too.
Gameweek 29 caused many managers FPL headaches with many teams sporting several yellow flags heading into the deadline. Harry Wilson (£6.0m), Nico O’Reilly (£5.1m) and Joachim Andersen (£4.5m) all missed out, whilst Erling Haaland (£14.6m) and Declan Rice (£7.4m) were available.
Sold by more than 600,000 FPL managers over the previous two Gameweeks, João Pedro (£7.7m) registered an assist and scored a hat-trick for Chelsea at Villa Park, rewarding remaining owners with 19 points.
After that came the 15-point hauls of James Tarkowski (£5.7m) and Ismaïla Sarr (£6.3m). Everton’s centre-back scored past former club Burnley and went on to keep them out, while the Crystal Palace attacker netted twice against Tottenham Hotspur.
Those with multiple routes into the Arsenal backline were treated to a clean sheet versus Brighton and Hove Albion.
And, thanks to the many automatic substitutions caused by injuries, quite a few ended up receiving the 12 points of Elliot Anderson (£5.5m), who equalised away at Manchester City.
Suddenly, Pedro finds himself back on many radars. Eight recent matches have delivered eight goals and six assists, plus Chelsea usually defeat Newcastle at Stamford Bridge.
In all competitions, they’ve won 12 of their last 14 such meetings. Two were draws, with one ending in a penalty shoot-out success.
Antoine Semenyo (£8.3m) is another popular purchase, but there’s a strong chance that Man City will not play during Blank Gameweek 31.
Leading the way for sales are goal-shy Morgan Rogers (£7.5m), suspended Micky van de Ven (£4.4m), and injured goalkeeper Robin Roefs (£4.9m).
Gameweek 30’s armband is hard to place, because the instinctive pick of Haaland is in a difficult run of form and faces Real Madrid both before and after Saturday’s trip to West Ham. Haaland’s opponents have also kept three clean sheets in five matches in a valiant attempt to avoid relegation.
After becoming Gameweek 29’s top scorer, Pedro could be a popular captaincy pick. It’s worth remembering both Chelsea and opponents Newcastle are involved in midweek Champions League action against Paris Saint-Germain and Barcelona, respectively.
Therefore, Hugo Ekitike (£9.1m) could be a good shout. He’s at home to a Spurs side that has conceded at least two goals on nine consecutive occasions and will be without both first-choice centre-backs through suspension.
